Tragedy Nov. 23, 2008

I am so sad about the lives lost on Sunday. I don't understand it. I have known Larry Wayne since 7th grade!! He was in 8th grade and we were a "couple"!! Yes, he was my first teenage boyfriend. I know his brothers well too. They are all such nice people...wouldn't hurt a flea. I pray that all families involved will find some sort of peace...and all of their friends. May God bless them.

Well, I did it....I quit nail school!!!! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!!! I'm sorry Tammy, but the night school was more than I could handle. I feel like 200 lbs have been lifted off my shoulders. It will be so nice to come home every night after work!!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!

Funny night at Nail Technology School

I hope Tammy won't mind me telling this story!!! Tuesday night at nail school myself and another student soaked our "rubber" hands in pure acetone to get the acrylic off of the fingernail tips so we could keep on practicing. Well, it took us 1 1/2 hours to soak them enough. When we took ours out, Tammy put her hand in the acetone. 30 minutes later she went to check on her rubber hand, and all of the fingers were floating around in the jar. She had 5 amputations!!!!!!! I guess you just had to be there!!!!! I laughed until I almost wet my pants!!!!!!!!!! I guess I needed a good laugh!!! Doesn't take much to entertain me!!!!! Stay tuned for the further adventures of Tammy and Nancy!!! LOL :) I wish I could figure out how to put all of the cute Thanksgiving pictures on my blog....but anyway, I wish every one of you a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving!!

Thanks, Mandy!! Hey, girl, I wonder if you know that your Mom borrowed a bunch of my Kelly's baby clothes for you when you were born!!!! We lived almost behind your aunt Faye and she commented on how cute Kelly's clothes were and so I loaned a bunch of them to her for you!! So you see, we go waaaaaaay back!! Your mom was so sweet. We went to your house one time when your parents had just added the addition to the house. And now I live over here in Northampton County and get to keep up with you on this blogging thing!!! Congratulations on all of the goodies at the baby shower...you deserve them. Your mom would be so proud!!

No pictures today...I didn't see the twins much last week. I leave home 5 days a week at 7:00 a.m. to go to work-school M, T, W from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m.-went to Greenville Sunday with Tammy and Allyson to take the Tanning Bed Certification course (passed 60 pages of text and 50 test questions with a 92), back to work today, school tonight, home and start all over again!!!! It's tought for this old lady...you "young chicks" do it now while you can!!!!

Please keep Joshua Fleetwood in your prayers...he is going to have an MRI on his knee on Friday!!

Yes, Halloween was quite an adventure for the Vann boys!! Dawson was so excited about his Frog costume...he couldn't wait to put it on!!! But Dalton, however, was having a "terrible two moment"!! He finally calmed down and went Trick or Treating anyway. He put his costume on later for his Grandaddy and Nanny Net and hit a few houses!! They were cute anyway to this ole Granny!!
