Well, we did have a little bit of "heat" on Saturday!!! The boys really enjoyed their $5.00 slip 'n slide!! We got the pleasure of keeping them Friday night (they were so good!!), took them to the Grapevine on Saturday morning for breakfast (they almost ate the table!), Walmart in Ahoskie and then surprised my mom with a visit to the Nursing Home. We took her some ice cream and the boys ate most of it!!

Mom's 77th birthday

Happy birthday, Momma!!! Tonight, John, Kelly, Heath, Dalton, Dawson and I went to see Mom at Guardian Care Nursing Home. We only stayed about an hour because the boys were WILD!!! Then we went to Los Amigos for supper--"Happy Cinco de Mayo"!!!! 5th of May!!! LOL!!! I hope Mom has many more birthdays!!!!!

Sorry, no pix to share right now. Pictures, what are they??? I am so busy with work, taking care of mom in the nursing home, trying to see Kelly, Heath and the boys, and trying to spend some quality time with my husband and our friends....it is exhausting!!! But I see that not many of you are posting anymore either!! It seems that much more is happening on facebook lately than the blogspot. I am too busy right now to do much more than glance through all of my favorite sites!! Have a great week!!!

My Mom

Well, what I have been hoping would NOT happen, did on Sunday. My mom broke her foot and had to have surgery. She was trying to meet us at Los Amigos for Easter lunch and fell trying to get into her car. Someone from her church rode by and saw her lying on the cement under the carport waving for help and she went to the church and got some men to come and get mom up. Well, she got into the car and drove to Los Amigos. I noticed she wasn't getting out of the car and I went outside and she said "I think I broke my foot, but I want to go inside and eat with the boys!" Well John and two male friends could not get her in there, so they got her back into the car and she drove herself to the hospital! I followed her. Anyway, to shorten this book she has to go from the hospital today to Guardian Care for 3 months. The cancer doctor went to see her yesterday and told her she will never live by herself again. So...................I don't know what we will do. A few prayers if you ladies have time.......THANKS!!!
