Just good ole country Christmas!!

Ganny spent Sunday afternoon with the Vann family...then we went to the Christmas program at Zion Church. The boys were candy canes!!! I told them to let me get a picture of them loving each other...this is what I got!! (Pop-Pop was shopping with Uncle Ray and Luke-Luke) LOL

Congratulations to Charlie and Mandy on the arrival of little Mason!!! I am So, So happy for you!!! Also, congratulations to Ann and Woody Terry on the arrival of little Parker Terry on Saturday afternoon, about 3:50. I hope these two guys will know each other growing up!! Two new baby boys on the same day in the same county....Merry Christmas!!!! Miracles happen every day!!!!

Here we go again!!

Yes, it is Ganny again...talking about those Vann boys!! We went to Greenbriar Mall on Saturday (Me, Kelly and the boys) and they were really good. It was just so crowded that we didn't get much done...I just enjoyed Kelly and the boys' company!!! Well, Saturday night, Shelton had a pig picking at his shop and Kelly and Heath brought the boys...they had a BALL!!! They were the only kids there, so they were the center of attention. And guess what, SANTA made a surprise visit!!! They wouldn't sit on his lap, but they did tell him they want a golf cart for Christmas..of all times to NOT have my camera!!! I bet old Santa might just round up a golf cart for those little fellows!! Hope Kelly doesn't mind, but I can't wait any longer to share pix with you...since she just got these from school and it is SOOOOO hard to dress these guys and take them for a picture, this is gonna be their Christmas pix!!

Picking up the boys from "school"

Well, today and yesterday I picked up those precious little guys from "school"...today, it was POURING rain and of course I made sure they didn't get wet (I am soaked!). It is such a pleasure to pick them up...sometimes I ask Kelly if I can pick them up and sometimes she asks me to pick them up. Either way, I LOVE IT!!! And Heath and Kelly always thank me for getting them....ARE THEY KIDDING???? I am thankful for them letting me pick them up!!! (Oh, how I DO go on and on about those boys...sorry)!
Don't know if any of you have kept up with the missing 3 yr old little girl in Florida (since June). They arrested her mother a few weeks ago for murder...even without a body. Today, a body was found only yards away from their home...we need some serious praying for this family...I have been following this story for months on Nancy Grace (HLN). It will be a while before the remains are positively identified...I just don't understand how in the world this can happen. Sorry for the depressing news, but this weighs heavily on my mind.:( :(

Feeling the Love

Yes, I already feel better. After I got all 3 eyedrops in my eye and took a nap with Bandit, I woke up and felt like a new woman!!! I hope I can get through work tomorrow!! Hope I don't stick anything in the other eye tonight!! LOL!! I will probably look funny with no eye makeup on, but there is no need since I will be putting drops in 3 times a day! LOL

Prayer is GREAT-so is JESUS!!

Look now, Kelly C., I already am crying (due to all the medicine) because of my eye situation (I shouldn't be up here-it is blurry!), but your great news tops it off!!! THANK YOU LORD!!! I know you and your family will have a great Christmas and your parents can enjoy their retirement!! Love ya!
Thanks everyone for your support for my eye-I will be okay...I just know it!! I am just worried about my Kelly's headaches...maybe the Christmas break will help her!! I LOVE THAT CHILD!!

Lift me up, please!

This is a "quicky" post 'cause I can't see!!! I know this is trivial, but I need a little prayer! I woke up this morning with something wrong with my right eye. I barely made it to work and went to Dr. Hauser as soon as he opened. I have scratched my right eye ball!! How do you do that in your sleep? Anyway, I came home and I've got 3 medicines to put in my eye. He wanted to put a dark contact on my eye to act like a bandage and I begged him not to!! I can't stand anything to go near my eyes!!

Saturday at mom's

Saturday, John, Kelly, Dalton, Dawson and I went to my mom's to decorate for Christmas. We met her at Los Amigos for lunch and then to her house to decorate. John did lots of things like replace light bulbs outside, put the deer and snowman out, clean bugs out of light under the carport, etc. I helped him some (and Dalton) and then Kelly and I started some on the inside. Mom didn't want to mess with the tree because of her health and we don't go there for the holidays since she can't cook anymore. We took the old satellite box down and threw it away and it had melted to the top of her console tv!!! (You know, the old first ones they come out with) Kelly got all of the rubber off and disconnected "thousands of wires" from behind the tv. She vacuumed, dusted, etc. When we left, Mom stood at the door telling us bye and thank you and said "Did the doctor tell ya'll that I was going to die or something?" We all busted out laughing and said "No, we haven't even seen your doctor!!" Bless her heart, say a little prayer for her if you can, she is in REALLY bad health. Thanks!!

You can see my den tree on the header with the boys and here is a picture of the one in the living room. Last year I went with the "slim line" trees since I don't have much room...I love them!! The huge trees are in the barn...they take up so much space. And as you see, I LOVE SNOWMEN AND SNOWWOMEN (sp?) !!!

Mom's mailbox for Christmas

My mom's mailbox is on it's last "leg"!!! As a surprise, one of her presents will be this mailbox I fixed for her...just bought one from Walmart and decorated with my Cricut machine...voila!! And you girls thought I was just an ole' granny!!! LOL!!!

Well, as you can see, it just ain't gonna happen!!!! I did change the colors on my page ....?????!!! LOL---Kelly C. and Allyson-HELP!! I will beg one of you to help me this weekend some time!!! Thanks, alot!! JT-you and your husband are such a cute couple!! Hope he is doing okay!!

Just not as good as I thought

Boy, I have NEVER had anything "whip" me as badly as the cute background thing. I cannot-- to save my life---get the hang of that. I go to the website and get nothing!!! Oh well, I like looking at the ones you all have!!! I thought I had it one time and it said "FAILED"!! I have been up here an hour and I give up!!! Night, night one and all!!

Thanks so much Allyson and Mandy. I will give it a try again either tonight or tomorrow night. Allyson, I will be coming to Greenville tomorrow. Mom has to be at Dr. Luper's at 11:30 for the root canal. I would love to go to the mall but Mom can't walk far...just to the car and back. I might take my Dad's wheel chair and see if she feels like going for a little while. It will be tough on me pushing her in the chair but she would love it. She has done a lot for me in the past that probably wasn't easy!! I don't remember the last time she was able to walk around in a mall.
